I Hunger

By Randy Behavior

I want to be loved

Anew

Like a Gypsy dancing for coins

I strive to lure

Someone

Fresh

Attention whore that I am

Always surveying the crowd

For the next

Ripe

Thing

Come hither sweet boy

I hunger at so many orifices

To be

Fed

Read me, write me, this will

Delight me

But do not please me quickly

Where’s the fun

Tempt me, ignore me

Come again

Once you have me

Know this

Your time

Is almost done

Hmmm.... a little different flavor than the last couple. Excellent, as usual. You say you have more on your desk???????

Oh LM, did I scare you? Sorry. Several, but the next in line is tears and crap I don't like to own up to.

Shamel, I'm glad you liked this one. I'm not as bad as this woman, and yet there is truth in it. Some women like hunks, I like writers.

And thanks for coming by again! *giggle*

alekhouse, Thank you so much. I've been trying to grow in the rhythm department.

Brenda thanks for commenting. I'm always curious what other poets think.

Oh wow, thanks Gypsy.

Yep Chris, I'm a terribly fickle harlot.

Love it! A little role reversal -- the hunter becomes the hunted, the thrill is in the chase, and all that usual male as pursuer stuff turned right back at them. Poor things:-). You go, girl. I hope all your orifices get fed today!! MM

I love this...you have been readig my mind again...IT'S NOT FAIR! It's all about the hunt, the prize and the satisfation of another fresh night of LUST.

Woe to thee that should delight me.

Great poem Randy! Alas that part of my life is done, I do miss the hunt however, but I do not miss the drama, the calls and the broken hearts. A man is not without emotion, love and lust can be fleeting things. I do love my wife, and there it is an ember, never to cool and always ready to burst into flame. Thanks for this Randy.

Mmmmm, I got to you Trooper. That delights me also.

That part of my life is just beginning again. Wish me happy hunting :)

You did indeed. Don't hurt the wild life...well, maybe a little :)

If a speckled fawn with those big deer eyes and long lashes, gets all deer in the headlights at me and hits my grill, is it really my fault? (metaphorically speaking)

trooper22 profile image

trooper22 2 years ago

ROFL! Good point, but beware, sometimes the deer may appear to be a simple herbivore, but is truly a carnivore in simple clothing.

Will do Candie. I gotta stop reading Janetta's poems too. Makes me all the hungrier! LOL.

Am I dead, yet? 2 years ago

Randy, omg! I wish I can write with fierce passion as well as you can. Another wonderful, and hawt read, Randy!

Janetta 2 years ago

Whew...I think I need a cold shower...nicely done! :D

Randy Behavior profile image

Randy Behavior Hub Author 2 years ago

AIDY, I've learned you have to write in the heat of it. When its gone its gone. When I get all settled down in a nice relationship again I'll probably write about grilled cheese sandwiches or something :)

Back at ya Janetta! We are two peas in a pod.

The only hunt left for me is to find the real me. I intend to hunt within myself for that answer...BUT...I do remember the passion that is so vivid in your words. Oh so sweet...so delectable...but not worth the calories. It's been hard dragging around the extra two hundred pounds for the last 28 years but now that he's gone I intend to stay the slimmer trimmer me. Still I am a big fan...You certainly have a way with the pen.

Randy Behavior profile image

Randy Behavior Hub Author 2 years ago

What a wonderful comment. Yes the only prize worth really hunting is probably ones self. Try telling that to my hormones though. Good luck with your search and I hope you find peace and bliss in there waiting for you.

So, do you have to get restraining orders against all of the "Next, ripe things" whose time is done? I could see this character followed by bus loads of pining men, wanting to be used and domped yet again...E

One of my favorite qualities of your writing is the brutal honesty. Most artists probably possess this desire to lure in new fans and admirers, to engulf everyone in the whole world, yet few would speak so candidly on the subject.

Juicy stuff. The last lines reminded me of a Metallica song lyric from way back when I could stand to listen to them; something to the effect of: "just as soon as I belong, then it's time I disappear."

Randy Behavior profile image

Randy Behavior Hub Author 10 months ago

Oh I like those lyrics Doug. I've been told quite often then I write honestly. I just don't know another way to do it.
