My imagination is fertile ground
Fantasies spring up in every crack
In every crevice like fragrant buds
Why would I venture outside this garden
When within these walls I am lithe and limber
As tender and receptive as a new shoot
In my mind you are beautiful and sleek and strong
Intuitive hands surprise and delight me
Our bodies entwine like hungry vines
Why would I seek flesh and blood
For any mere mortal must surely disappoint
Beside the rapturous skills of the one imagined
The petals of my flower open to your seduction
In my Eden you plant and sow, and plant and sow
You take root and I writhe beneath your shaft of light
Lovely but alone, I bloom

My daughter was hubsurfing, saw the email about this and came yelling to me: "come see what beatiful poem your friend randy has written".
Well randy, you did it for her, she's smiling from ear to ear. she made me go to all you hubs, copy - paste - print. TXxx
Another great lil poem my friend, enjoyed it !
" Lovely but alone, I bloom " that is so poetic Randy and how I wish I could, alone I fade and die like a flower left unwatered.
You have an excellent way with words! "shaft of light" is great.
I lost sight of the flowers...steam you know....great poem...wonderful images! :)
Beautifully crafted
Hey RB....very sexy...just like you!!! Fertile ground indeed...LOL
Yes, I love the double meanings. Glad you didn't use something lame like "light saber" :) Keep rockin'
I moved...new house....and been swamped at work....like I needed all that at once....been missing my hubbuddies.....hope all is going great on your side of the country.
You'll make it RB...I've got confidence in you....now you get it too!!....and I thought those were "milk" tanks....or was I just checking the wrong thing again???
wowza, wowza!
Wow! This is moving, Randy. At least I'm moving. Oh my, how I am moving. Really beautiful. You capture the beauty of the imagination and fantasy, and how perfectly we picture things to be. Well done!
Wow, I like it, but what I like the most is the sudden conclusion... I bloom! I think it's called Caesura.
Really something.
This was great Randy, your imagination the garden everything!
Just beautiful...again, love your word paint.
I do finger painting!!!!
Somehow I would have guessed that.....but I can't find any white paint...I'll just have to use cream cheese or whipped cream.....don't worry...I'll clean up the mess!!!
ahh the afterglow... thanks for sharing :D
I dunno, I keep coming back here. Here's to your imagination, O creative one.
That was really beautiful, I love how you play with words. I am going to look for more... Thank you!!
Another Gem, Bravo Randy!
Where was the cold shower disclaimer?
Great line about bodies entwining like hungry vines. Then things got pornographic in a flowery sort of way. Nice touch.
Beautiful. I now you filed this under 'Lust' but you make it very poetic and lyrical. Great poetry. No cringing here.. excellent sexual metaphor
I love the sensual imagery
welcome to JP...
elegant piece, enjoyed the word flow.
A++
Sad & sensual at the same time.
This is what poetry is all about.
Exquisite!
Thanks for sharing.
seductive!
Thoughts don't argue back, clomp mud through the house or take one for granted. Men! Who needs them?

Lovely, sensual. A work of art - but portable, to carry in my mind, echoed in my heightened pulse.
