My God Is Better Than Your God
Click below to here me read this poem.
I see your anger
For I don't believe as you do
Would you have us be copies
Created in carbon
Just like you, I am convinced
My path is the correct one
I look at you squirming down there
in your illusions
Righteous in my loving open mind
Watching wisdom wash
New layers into view
Yesterday's reality must be discarded
At once I feel indignant in my growth
And ashamed at at my hypocrisy
In that wispy place tween wake and dream
Tenderly as if I were a child
Truth reveals itself to me
The dichotomy of our unity
Is in the seeking of diversity
New desire, new experience
The plan, ourselves to expand
Continually arriving at new beliefs
Just one, at play, are we
Be gentle in your judgment of me
For you are judging the freckle
On your own hand
