To Be of Little Consequence

I have left my mark on you and I am sorry
I only came to play
They say we touch lives, sometimes I'm not so gentle
An accidental rustler, leaving my randy brand behind
I don’t mean to be of consequence
But that does not make me less so
Just to make your acquaintance, my endeavor
Perhaps leave the tiniest of fingerprints in your world
Not to rock it with my thoughts and thighs
A kick in the pants or a bulge therein
Was never a forethought
Just an occupational hazard really
For the impressions or scars I’ve left
I take full responsibility
As we travel around this universe we are bound to bump into
Or rub up against one another
Pleasure or pain determined merely by the force of impact
For the latter I apologize
For the former, you are most welcome

So that's why that "RB" is burned into my left cheek. I thought I backed up against a wood stove, but it must have been something else HOT
Just the guys eh? Okay- rope me, brand me, Randy!
Great hub and thanks for sharing.
Take care

This comment in passing,
nice one,
said lightly passing.;)
Break any hearts lately? Being randy must have some unique occupational hazards.
i like how you wrote this very creative. haha your randy brand. i like it! and for every action is a reaction or a consequence.
psh he should be giving you the coins for dancing!
My dignified Randy one, has sent the lotharios packing. She is no Charlie Sheen, but rather a fantasy for the literate fool.
She won't rub, but only snub, all comers that view her print on electronic paper. She will tease and fade away like an old soldier.
What a pity.
Randy rancher's daughter
offers no man quarter;
leads the lamb to slaughter
braised chops; knots were taught her.

Truly a magnificent piece of art! Thank you for this pleasure. I hope he was no worse for wear.
I forgot to mention that I simply loved your poem. "Not to rock it with my thoughts and thighs" was a simply brilliant image.
A romp through fields
On a blissful sunny day
I forgot to give the beautiful sows their hay
We wandered softly, slowly finding our way
Though the wind licked prairie
Forgotten chores, waves on the shores,
A tryst in my mind, oh my
A daydream can be unkind, as,
Unfortunately, the only tanned hind was mine....
Ropes and stirrups, and surly giddyups have more purposes and places than just our barns!
Thanks Randy Behavior for sharing it!!!

i like this a lot - the randy brand - nice and i just lately thought about the interactions we have with people and how much we influence each other - for the good or bad...loving...hurting.. and even if it's just a touch for a short time...it will leave marks and traces and think this is just how life is and maybe also what makes life so worth living..

For this little lifestruck soul,
a "not so gentle" brand,
a gift from accidental rustler,
a tiny touch so grand,
a love for slight acquaintance,
a bulge past due for slam,
although a force of impact,
a million times be damned,
a universe we travel,
a rub to find quite memorable,
a life much less without it,
a memory not deplorable...
